The Kestrel Armor can be customized by swapping out pieces of the set for pieces purchased from Merchants, or made available as downloadable content, in the armor locker aboard the Normandy SR-2. Wearing all Set pieces won't grant any additional effects but will change the complete character's appearance. To wear a Heavy Armor, it is required to be a Soldier. Heavy Armor grant the highest defense against fire attacks, though they also have the highest impact on your weapon accuracy. Armor provides defenses and additional bonuses to our character and the complete squad. Armor Sets provide players with protection and resistances against all types of damage. Heavy Armor in Mass Effect 1 is a type of Armor. Kestrel Armor grants + 30% Melee Damage, + 5% Headshot Damage, + 11% Weapon Damage, + 25% Shield Strength, + 5% Spare Heavy Weapon Ammo Capacity and can only be used by Commander Shepard.
